West Indies superstar Andre Russell displayed his ‘A Game’ as he played an exceptional attacking knock to help Abu Dhabi Knight Riders post a formidable total. Russell stayed unbeaten on 46 from just 17 deliveries, laced up with 6 humungous sixes.
Apart from Russell, Sam Hain (40 off 31), Alishan Sharafu (37 off 25) and Michael Pepper (38 off 28) chipped in with valuable contributions. For MI Emirates, Fazalhaq Farooqi was their pick of the bowler with a three-wicket haul. Farooqi claimed three scalps while conceding 35 runs in his quota of 4 overs.

The ball went miles up in the air and looked as if it would land on no man’s land. However, Boult, known for his exceptional fielding prowess, did the unthinkable. The New Zealander ran across a long way and stuck his hand out and ended up completing a one-handed stunner.

Muhammad Waseem, Kusal Perera shine in MI Emirates’ chase
The Nicholas Pooran-led MI Emirates ended up chasing the massive total with 8 wickets in hand and one over to spare. Openers Muhammad Waseem and Kusal Perera were the chief architects of the successful chase. The duo formed a scintillating partnership of 110 and took the game away from Abu Dhabi Knight Riders.
While Perera smashed a brilliant knock of 56 from 27 deliveries with the help of 4 fours and 3 sixes, Waseem top-scored with unbeaten 87 from just 61 balls, including 8 fours and 3 maximums. Captain Pooran also chipped in with crucial 33 as MI Emirates completed the proceedings in the 19th over.
