More troubles for Suryakumar

As per a recent report, Suryakumar is currently contending with sports hernia, necessitating surgical intervention at National Cricket Academy (NCA). The BCCI medical team has been diligently overseeing his condition, and indications suggest that he might undergo the required procedure at Munich, Germany. This unfortunate development is expected to keep him sidelined for a duration of approximately eight to nine weeks. The timing of this setback implies that the 33-year-old is anticipated to miss some of the starting encounters of IPL 2024.

“SKY (Suryakumar) was recently diagnosed with sports hernia. He is currently recuperating at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru. In two-three days, he willfly for Munich, Germany, to get operated for it. It means that he certainly won’t be playing for Mumbai this season in the Ranji Trophy and is likely to miss the initial games for the Mumbai Indians in the IPL,” a source in the BCCI said, as quoted by Times of India.
